Yes. In the United States, as long as you abide by your local laws and those of the FAA concerning drone use, you may operate your drone for agricultural surveys. The FAA considers agricultural surveys as commercial use of a drone, and therefore requires a license. The licensing process is straightforward, it requires self-study of the material and then you must pass a written exam. The testing fee is $150.
