We currently allow you to upload shapefiles to crop your field boundaries, saving you the step of manually drawing it yourself. At this time we currently only support multipolygon shapefiles, which is generally how shapes are represented when it comes to a single field. You'll want to do this when we have notified you that you need to crop your field boundaries, which will include a link to crop the field or you can find the full list under the "Status" page in the top table of "Flights that Require Attention" and clicking the "Draw Now" button.
- Upon loading the Draw boundary page, you should see something similar to the following:
- You'll now want to scroll towards the bottom of the page and look for the "Use a shapefile for a boundary:" label and click the folder icon to select the shapefile locaiton:
- Now if you're not familiar with shapefiles in their entirety, it is a misnomer. Shapefiles are actually a collection of one or more files that reside together to represent your shapes and their associated geospatial information. Due to the this, we require you to zip the files together into a zip file if they are not already in a zip file. Once you have located and load your zip file, you should see it appear in the boundary section. If there are any issues loading your shapefile, a red notice will appear at the top right, if you need any assistance please contact support@agribotix.com.
- You should now be able to click "Submit for Final Processing" and in the future we'll allow you to select this boundary or, if you happen to fly the same field again and selection the same location, we'll automatically crop the flight, saving you the step of even visiting this page after upload!
